What is the best big barrel baseball bat for contact hitters?
It depends on whether your league allows composite barrels or not. Having said that, my sons are using Nike. They use to use DeMarini CF series bats exclusively, but have come to prefer the alloy barrels available from Nike. The feel the Exos are too light. They want to try the new Marucci alloy bat as well. I don't know how old or big you are, but I would suggest getting used to a drop-3 as soon as possible, as they are required in high school.
I use wood bats exclusively and have tried just about all of them. I have settled on a 34 inch I13 Louisville Pro Stock.
Louisville also has Pro Stock Lite, which is similar in weighting to an aluminum or composite bat.
My best advice is to try out as many variations as you can get your hands on. The most common mistake I see players make is they use a bat that is too big.
