If you drop a bowling ball and a ball off the base of a skyscraper, while a land for the first time?
Some people are saying that the bowling ball, but I'm pretty sure it will come at the same time because it doesn't weight affects the speed with which it will be in free fall. What do you think?
In fact, the ball is likely to land first. The acceleration of gravity is independent of mass, and if there were no air, the balls that land at the same time. But the heavier ball is less affected by atmospheric friction that baseball, and therefore has a significantly higher terminal velocity. If it were a shorter distance (such as a one-story building), the two land roughly the same time. But for a skyscraper? The bowling ball came screaming approximately 150 feet per second, while baseball would fall into a quiet 40 feet per second. Edition, and for anyone who does not believe the atmosphere issues drag on falling from a skyscraper, think about the difference between jumping off the building with or without a parachute.
