Is it a good heavy Sturdy easy to swing baseball bat?

It's a fine baseball bat for swinging and hitting baseballs and I'm also sure home invading bodies. One thing you want to remember is if your going to use a blunt object to protect yourself in your home, you can't have anything too long. For instance your in your hallway and need to swing the bat, can you? Are the walls to close for you to get a good swing off? I prefer using a hammer or tire iron for homeland security.
