After Exercise my ears pop and then I get out of breath?
All the time when I exercise, my ears feel like they clog up and I can't hear anything and everything that I say gets very loud. I know this is called Exercise-Induced Eustachian Tube Dysfunction.
While my ear is clogged and I have to do a lot of sprints, I get out of breath and start wheezing afterwards. Is this another effect of Exercise-Induced Eustachian Tube Dysfunction? Or is it just a cause of my allergies? And is there any medicine or anything I could take so I at least wont get out of breath at the end?
If you have allergies they are most likely the cause.
The eustachian tube connects the back of the nose with the middle ear.
Normally it is closed except for when we yawn or swallow when it opens briefly to allow drainage from the middle ear.
Try swallowing, or ask a pharmacist about antihistamine tablets, they will reduce congestion caused by the allergy and allow the eustachian to do it's normal job.
