Fixing a wet DS Lite?
Basically I found a Nintendo DS in (its very scratched, but hey) turns on fine, but 2 screens have fun, the top is white with green stripes and the bottom is white with the thumb as a stain on a black print that .. I opened and looked at the battery and was all wet, same with the gameboy advance slot which makes sense since it has been raining .. The sound is fine, same with the use of buttons is only 2 screens that break. Any way to fix it? and please no answers like the hand to the police or anything .. Because the demand would be a stratch up ds broken these days? : P Thanks
Try removing the battery and pouring alcohol all over it. I know what you're thinking, "Ha! The to do to fix it? ". But in reality, alcohol is high in computer parts, as it evaporates and leaves little residue, unlike water. That's what makes the short circuits and such, and alcohol fix that. In fact, I used this to successfully revive a cell phone that went through the washer (and partially through the dryer too = D). However, many of alcohol should be poured throughout the unit and let it evaporate in the course of several hours. After checking the screen and cracks for any excess liquid alcohol, you can replace the battery in the unit and see if it works!
