How can I make maple syrup with sugar and maple flavoring?
I have tried twice to make my own syrup by boiling sugar and then mixing in maple flavoring, but both times as it cools off, it becomes hard as a rock... what do I do?
you're doin it wrong
if you want fake maple syrup, you could buy it at the store, or use corn syrup instead, and some maple flavorings.
If you want real maple syrup, you poke a hole in a tree, catch what drips out, taste it to make sure its good, then boil it down 40 to one. I tried it once. It was FUN. Careful whose trees you use.
