i'm trying out for softball for the school team this year. What are the things I need to get for it? (I already know I need to get a bat and a softball, but any special kind of shoes or clothers or something?) thanks 
Assuming it's a girls softball team (otherwise you're going to want a cup if you're playing catcher, 1st, or 3rd base) you will want the following:
A glove.
A cap or visor.
A bat.
A bag (for putting bat and other stuff in)
Shoes (cleated plastic)
Sliding pants
Comfortable shorts or sweats
Socks
Some folks like to wear sweat bands and some also like to wear shades. Those are optional.
