Does the Guitar Speed Trainer really help?
I've been playing guitar for about 2 years, and I wanted to gain speed for a looong time and I always tell myself to sit down and do some exercises, but eventually get bored and stop. But now that I'm getting more serious about playing, I remembered I have the Guitar Speed Trainer program, and I was wondering if you really stick to it for about 30 minutes to an hour every day if it really helps to improve speed and accuracy? Or do I just better stop or perhaps play some solos fast and difficult songs I like? I live nobody has heard the coach, so I do not know how many people have it .. but any advice is welcome. Oh, and wait, if there is any tool out there to help me I would love to hear more speed, and any learning tool to help you learn the pitch very well for improvisation and stuff like that .. Thanks!
For speed, accuracy, and all around better game, check out www.guitarprinciples.com. Jamie Andreas is-a-lot of philosophy, but some tools very good at helping their interpretation in terms of speed, accuracy, etc. I have been using their "principles of correct practice for guitar" from two years ago, and has made a real difference in my playing.
