How do you know when a bat is dead?
I bought my son a new Miken Burn Youth Baseball bat in July 06. He has used it maybe 10-12 times. His new baseball coach says the bat is dead because it doesn't ping when he hits the ball. It has a pop sound. Some have told me that it sounds differently because it isn't made from the same material that the TPX and some of the other popular bats are. Just trying to be sure that the bat is really dead before I send it back and my son doesn't have a bat for the season.
ask them wher you bought it from they best can tell you each company ahs a different way of making bats..it also could be where the bat hits the ball he jus may not be hiting it in the sweet spot
